Tim Cook was in the town of Birmingham yesterday, in the same district as Alabama where Apple's chief executive was hired. Cook attended an event called EdFarm, where students were trained in All can code training. More than this, Tim Cook had a Fox chain talking about a coronavirus, indicating that jobs in China are recovering and returning to normal.
"China also controls the coronavirus"
Conversation, collected from MacRumors, will only be broadcast this afternoon on Fox. Well, we were able to reach in advance for a few minutes when Cook made some very interesting statements.
I get the feeling that China is also controlling the coronavirus. When you look at the numbers, it goes down day by day. So I'm very optimistic about this.
China, as it stands, represents both Apple's manufacturing center and the most important market. While the world is a major producer (about 50%), it is represents 16.7% of total revenue on average last year. Apple's chief executive has continued to talk about its vendors:
On the supplier side, we have suppliers, you know, the iPhone is built worldwide. We have essential components from the US, we have important components that are in China and so on. If you look at parts manufactured in China, we have reopened the factories, because the factories have been able to work to reopen them.
They are also up for production, so I think we are in the third stage of a return to normal and we are in the third phase of the increase in production.
After China's New Year, the workers plan to return to their positions on February 10. The thigh delayed one week during the coronavirus, at the suggestion of Foxconn himself, an Apple contractor. After the uncertainty created by the transagion, the company's performance seems to be on its way back to normal.
Good events and fairs continue to be canceled
Following the cancellation of the Mobile World Congress which was due to be held this week, other events have followed. More importantly, like the Facebook F8 event, GDC 2020 continues to lose participants or the Geneva Motor Show.
The F8 should have been on May 5 and 6. This event is to an engineer and celebrated in San José, California. The company released a statement outlining its reasons:
Recognizing the growing concern about COVID-19, we made the difficult decision to cancel F8 face-to-face events this year, in order to prioritize the health and safety of our developer partners, staff and all assistants that give F8 life. We plan to replace these F8 events with local events, videos and live content.
Game Developer Conference is not canceled So far, but many weight participants have announced they will not. Among them is Microsoft (which has also pressed its own to be led Finance), Sony, EA, Unity and Unreal, in addition to Facebook's participation. As for the car event in Switzerland, it was completely canceled.
In the case of companies like Facebook, it is possible to change face-to-face times workshops released by to broadcast. As for Apple, the company has not commented on any of its forecasts.
It is expected to have a headline written by the end of March next, when Apple will announce the iPhone 9 and other products like IPad Pro or AirTag. If the panorama persists, the company may enter into a launch through a press release or a private event broadcast via to broadcast.
Another great event of the year is expected in the coming months WWDC 2020. Traditionally the event dates have been announced in mid-March with the opening of the trust and the purchase of tickets shortly thereafter. In extreme cases, the conference and its resources can be distributed.
It's too early to advance events. Of course, Tim Cook's optimism about the return to normalcy in China is a point to consider.
