Apple closed its stores and offices in China on February 1. Now the Carlertino company has announced that today, March 13, while taking precautionary measures in other parts of the world, the Apple Stores in South Africa will open. The situation has returned to normal.
The beginning of the good news
Earlier, Apple's store closure was scheduled until February 9th, however, the situation prevented its reopening that day. Various stores have been continuously open throughout the month and until yesterday 38 of the 42 Apple Stores in the country were operating. Today, and according to the official pages of stores, Apple has opened 42 locations. The last four stores to open are the three located in Tianjin and Suzhou stores, which today will operate normally.
The closure of Apple stores in the country, as well as the complexity of synthetic materials due to the outbreak, has caused iPhone sales in February to wear 60% compared to February 2019. Now the situation is starting to recover quickly. Foxconn, chief device maker and co-founder of Apple, expects it to end completely by the end of March.
The re-opening of the Apple Store in China and the general make-up of assembly lines are great news that motivated by expectations for WWDC and the future generation of the iPhone.
