One of the best tech youtubers, if not the best, awards several awards to the best smartphones every year, and his 2021 video has just been released. It is Marques Brownlee and his MKBHD channel. This 2021 has awarded 9 different awards, and competition between Apple and Samsung seems to have been tough this year since the two compatible are sharing the best prices.

This year it seems that the The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is Marques Brownlee’s favorite smartphone, although we have several iPhone 13s on the list. Apple smartphones take home awards for best small smartphone, best camera, and best battery. We got to see these last two aspects firsthand in our review of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
It is obviously not easy to decide between all smartphones of the year, but it seems that the undisputed protagonists are devices from Samsung and Apple, at least for Marques Brownlee. Of course, the iPhone 13 Pro Max didn’t win the award for best smartphone of the year, despite having the best cameras and the best battery.
