A well-known podcaster and editor for The Verge revealed a problem with Twitter. The platform returns deleted tweets and retweets.
If you’re a Twitter user, we recommend that you go to your app right now and check your feed, you might get a disappointing surprise because it’s just been posted a small but annoying “bug” related to deleted tweets and retweetsthese reappeared in the profiles.
After the improvements of Twitter direct messages and video calls, a very annoying bug appeared for many users. That’s right, as if it were an Elon Musk joke, James Vincent, editor of The Verge, revealed that many of his deleted tweets have come back. Yeah, posts he deleted some time ago were back on his profile
May 8 I deleted my tweets (I know the date because I tweeted some). but when i checked my timeline this morning, twitter had restored some old re-tweets without warning. this is yet another illustration of twitter’s unpredictable infrastructure: https://t.co/ACHYDUntod

On May 8, I deleted my tweets (I know the date because I tweeted about it). But when I checked my timeline this morning, Twitter had restored some old retweets without warning. This is another illustration of Twitter’s unpredictable infrastructure…
Many users are affected by the problem of deleted messages coming back to Twitter
However, the problem did not end there, because after doing some research, Vincent realized that he wasn’t the only one affected
Podcaster Dick Morrell also shared his bad experience with this issue via Mastodon. Additionally, Morrell told the ZDNET site that 400 people have already contacted him to see the error.
Last November, I deleted all my Tweets. Each. I then ran Redact and deleted all my likes, media, and retweets. 38,000 tweets disappeared… For six months, I had less than 5 tweets online. I woke up today to find 34,000 of them restored by Twitter, which presumably brought a backup from a server farm. Now it is deleted again. This goes to show why you should NOT use Twitter, ever Please join us… Addendum: If you are concerned, please follow me here and post the details of your experience. I am in contact with Twitter.
Although Vincent cannot explain the extent of this bug currently, one could deduce that is caused by a problem with the Twitter server Or, changes to the platform could have brought a type of failure with third-party applications this made it easier for Vincent, Morrell and others to delete their tweets without needing to use Twitter.
Hopefully Elon Musk can provide information on this issue as quickly as he has teamed up with Spotify to attack Apple’s policies that were affecting some Twitter adjustments and that a solution can be found for those affected.
