Admit one thing: they love the experiences on Twitter. The social media team continues to test new features to make it a more dynamic place. An evolving social network, where you can find a different topic of conversation every day. And sometimes even completely new ways of discussing it.
Now, the social network is looking for a way to bring out the best conversations even more. To sink responses that bring nothing, those infused with hate. Therefore, they started a new experiment: the implementation of a button “I do not like”, or negative vote. That’s right, no more limiting reactions to “like”.
As you can guess, Twitter users reacted quickly. And that’s it, at a time when we are more divided than ever, and in which we are particularly sensitive to the reactions of others in the networks, this does not seem to be the best way. However, the truth is he has a trick.

The “dislike” reaction will not be exactly the same as the “like” reaction. While the second is published publicly, negative votes will only be displayed to the user. However, they will help Twitter decide whether this response should be posted or not. All without the user having to undergo what can lead to a wave of negative reactions.

Of course, the goal, as we’ve said before, seems to be to keep offensive or unnecessary responses at bay. Or, at least, to prevent them from being the most seen. What will have to be seen is whether the experiment is working or not, because at the moment it is in testing for a small group of iOS users.
