Up to 8 video calls are now available on WhatsApp

We live in a phase where we have to continue to be trapped at home for public health reasons. During this time, the community has had to find a way to communicate with loved ones or find telephonic tools at home. That is why many video calling programs have grown in the past few weeks. One of those options WhatsApp. To date there was a limit: the number of people we could add to each call. With a new update, You can now create calls and video calls with up to 8 people at once.

Over time and after the purchase of Facebook, embedded approaches have gone one way: turning the app into a multi-tool. The world came first, then voice calls, and finally video calls. The only limitation was the number of people that can be included in these calls: four. This could be due to the fact that WhatsApp is an application whose applications come from mobile phones with a very large screen.

However, with the advent of COVID-19, users are looking for other apps with their own not-so-limited bandwidth, apps such as Zoom, Messenger Rooms (recently introduced), WebEx and more. This resulted in WhatsApp coming back a few hours ago version 2.20.50.

Use this feature is no secret. We have two ways to start a call: to add a group and press the phone or camera or go to the "Calls" menu and start over. It's important to know that we can only make video calls with up to 8 people inside those

devices with the latest version installed. At the moment, this functionality has only been accessed on iOS so as not to call the largest video calls via iPhone in its WhatsApp version 2.20.50.
