Folding mobiles are no longer a mere curiosity. Launches like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold have shown they have their place at the high end, and there are manufacturers who have taken advantage of 2022 to bet heavily on this technology.

Vivo was one such brand, with the launch this spring of the Vivo X Fold, a foldable that we call “spectacular” for its commitment to cutting-edge hardware. A few months later, his successor will arrive.
Vivo X Fold+ has been announced
Vivo has confirmed that on September 26, it will present and launch its new foldable mobile in China, an evolution of this Vivo X Fold with improved and improved hardware. The company took the opportunity to advance some details on this device.
The name says it all: the Vivo X Fold+ is a “plus” version of the original X Fold, so there are no format surprises. It is still a mobile with two screens, a classic size exterior and a folding interior. Both retain one of the standout features of the original model, which are 120Hz and promise similar image quality despite their differences.
The big news, at least in terms of hardware, seems to be in the processor, which will now be a Snapdragon 8+ gen 1, the most powerful model until the launch of the second generation of Qualcomm. The AnTuTu score of this new Vivo has already been leaked, and it is similar to other devices with this processor, reaching 1100438 points.
Vivo also promises improvements in the design of the mobile, especially in the hinge which is now more resistant and which during the tests has been opened more than 300,000 times no problem. A new red color will be the most striking aspect of this release, although it will also be available in blue.
For cameras, Vivo promises advances thanks to the collaboration with Zeiss in the form of a new imaging system and new algorithms, as well as a new coating on the lenses that optimizes light capture.
The Vivo X Fold+ will be officially presented on September 26, then we will know more.
