Vodafone is increasing the pressure to attract customers by offering free mobile phones as well as promotions with third-party services, such as Amazon. We saw it when it started giving access to Prime Video in some tariffs that include Vodafone TV and now it’s audio.
The British operator has again partnered with Amazon to promote the paid podcast and audiobook service that we have been offering in Europe for a few months.
Audible is a risky bet on Amazon’s part since it offers a lot of it but with a price equal to that of services like HBO or Netflix.
Vodafone offers four months of Audible to its customers with unlimited data
The operator’s proposal is limited to users with unlimited speeds, thus encouraging them to opt for this type of tariff.
The Amazon service started in the United States and currently has over 90,000 audio files between podcasts and audiobooks. Of these, over 6,700 are in Spanish, many of which have been launched since fall 2020, when the service landed in our market.
The price is 9.99 dollars per month, but with the Vodafone offer, customers of the reduced rates will have four months free, more than enough to test the service and see if they use it enough to pay for it later.
How to register for the 4 free months
To access the offer, we can do so through the My Vodafone app or on the website that the operator has activated for it.
Keep in mind that after 4 months, 9.99 dollars per month will be billed and that these will be included in the Vodafone invoice so if you do not wish to continue paying, it is better to set an alarm at the time of hiring to remind you that you must see, within 120 days, whether this compensates you or no to continue the service.
