Watchsmith shows us the power of problems in watOS

The Apple Watch has been a tool that has come a long way since its launch, and has long since been used, with great capabilities that Apple hasn't completely revolutionized. As a sample we have the WatchSmith program, which it allows us to customize the problems of our clock and make them change according to the time of day.

Great idea

Since the launch of the Apple Watch, there has been talk of the need for Apple to personalize our watch's face far beyond what we can currently do. The sphere shop under strict product control is something that will eventually happen sometime soon, but for now The developers' thought shows us that even though few opportunities are offered by Apple at present, there are many things that can be done.

Watchsmith released the App Store 24 hours ago, and has used the complexity of watchOS issues to personalize not only the look of our Apple Watch, but also the information it gives us on the dial. We use different types of problems that watOS has, depending on the type of space we use and their location within that range, allowing us with one app to configure different time-sensitive issues, calendar appointments, battery remaining, lunar phases, visible stars in our area, etc. Also we can fix these problems depending on the time period that shows us different details: morning weather, afternoon appointments on our agenda, afternoon progress of our work ringing …

Watchsmith plus install apps within your watchOS program, so we can use it for our exercise with enticing options at this time of confinement such as relaxation training, or information on the phase of the moon and even the classic ball-striking game that dominates the Apple Watch crown.

Improved design and functionality

The app is a real Swiss Army Knife for those who want to dig deeper and fix their clock issues, with the sheer number of options available. However, in my opinion, the making of this excellent concept is undermined by the limited attention to application design and problems. In my particular case I prefer to see problems I already have on my Apple Watch using different apps (fantastical, HomeRun, Carrot Weather …) because I already have them on my iPhone already installed. Watchsmith brings many apps together into one, but it doesn't reach the level of design and functionality of any of those appsIt's not even close. The opportunity to change the content of this complexity depending on the time of day is exciting to me, but it doesn't compensate for the problem I'm talking about.

The app can now be downloaded from the free App Store (link) for you to try and create your own idea. If you are one of those who see the great potential this app has bright eyes you are sure you will be happy to pay € 1.99 per month (€ 21.99 per year if you prefer) It costs to be able to enjoy its operation 100%. In the meantime I'm waiting to see if future updates will improve the features that leave me so cold right now.
