If you’re among those waiting for a new iPhone SE and worried about rumors of its possible demise, there’s some hope in Korea. The Elec, medium of this country, reflects clues about its production. And if there is production, that means the iPhone SE 4 could finally see the light of day.
The clue came from Dae-Jeong Yoon, an analyst at UBI Research. According to him, Apple would break with the tradition of launching an iPhone SE every two years and move the production of the fourth generation of this mobile to 2025. The current iPhone SE 3 would therefore have a “lifespan” of three years.
It’s not just an (apparent) delay: it’s a big change for the iPhone SE
The delay cannot be solely due to logistical problems: after more than five years of life, the iPhone SE It has its first big design change pending since he was born. We would go from a design that mirrors the iPhone 8, with Touch ID and the large upper and lower bezels, to one more similar to that of the iPhone XR or iPhone 11.
That means a size change from 4.7 to 6.1 inches, ending small, one-handed iPhones in the bud. Sales have already shown us that it was a logical decision, although personally I can’t help but feel a little sorry.
If the mass production of the iPhone SE 4 goes until 2025, a very optimistic prediction could be that we will see it presented and launched throughout the spring of this year. Something more realistic might be to see it more in the middle or end of this year, or even in the spring of 2026. Patience is the way of the Jedi.
