The news that so many people from Madrid were waiting for has finally been confirmed: the discounts on public transport They will continue for at least another six months. This means that, at least until June, we can continue to benefit from the reduced prices that we benefit from in 2024.
Thanks to these 50 and 60% discounts you can continue recharge or renew your transport card for much less money than usual. Below we explain what the prices are until June 2025 and how you can take advantage of the sales from your mobile.

Even though the Community of Madrid had already confirmed its intention to maintain the bonus in public transportthe reductions were contingent on the extension of aid from the Department of Transportation. And this is something that was finally confirmed in the middle of the Christmas period.
As the government will maintain its aid until June, Madrid's public transport will continue its reduced pricesAt least another six months. And what is the reduced price for each zone? Let's see this:

In addition, the seniors pass (over 65 years old) and the child card (under 6 years old) will be free, and the 10-trip pass will also benefit from the same cost as last year: 6.10 dollars. There will also be the following additional discounts for these groups:
- 20% discount for people with disabilities equal to or greater than 65%.
- 20% discount for large families.
- 50% reduction for large families in special category.

Currently, the CRTM (Madrid Regional Transport Consortium) has two official and free applications very practical for users of public transport in the Community:
- Transportation Card: Once installed, you can easily check the current balance and/or charge your transportation card. It is compatible with Android 5 or higher, provided your mobile has NFC.
- Virtual transport card: allows you to carry the digital or virtual transport card in Google Wallet so you can access the bus or metro without the physical card. And of course, it also gives you the possibility of recharging your multi-journey ticket with the reduced fare currently in effect. It is compatible with Android 9 or higher, provided your phone has NFC and Google Wallet.
