The tablet market is booming. Until not too long ago we had two options, and most simply opted for an Apple iPad; but in recent years, very interesting Android alternatives have appeared, such as the OnePlus Pad or the Pixel Tablet.
But if anyone can fight Apple alone, it’s Samsung. The Korean brand is the only one so far able to compete in brute force, that is, in features and power, and the leak of the new Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra confirms that history will repeat itself this year. As usual, the leak comes from OnLeaks, which on this occasion has collaborated with MySmartPrice for posting pictures.
These computer-rendered images should be enough to give us an idea of what the new tablet will look like; As usual with the “Ultra” name, it will be a high-end premium model, in which Samsung will throw the rest.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
The design of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will be an evolution of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra released last year, in the same way that the Galaxy S23 released earlier in the year was an evolution of the Galaxy S22. In fact, the main aesthetic novelties are also similar. For starters, the camera array mimics that of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, keeping the two cameras completely separate.
The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will have a “premium” finish with a metal chassis and a sleek appearance; just below the cameras we’ll have a magnetic area for the stylus, and that’s the only part that will really stand out from the rear. It will have IP67 certification for protection against water and dust and will weigh 737 grams. At the bottom, connectors for using a keyboard cover.
The screen will be 14.6 inches, and as in the current model, we find a “notch” or notch that houses the dual front camera in such a position that it will be ideal for making video calls while keeping the tablet horizontal. Speaking of the screen, the leak says it will be based on a Super OLED panel with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels, with excellent color calibration that will cover 120% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
As for the interior, Samsung should bet on the same processor used in its high-end mobile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, accompanied by an 11,200 mAh battery with 45W fast charging. We will know more. on this device. in the coming months, probably July when the next Samsung foldables should be presented.
