Thanks to the Live Text function, we can select the text of an image with great ease, but what about a video? Thanks to iOS 16, this Live Text is extended to videos, so copying a text or translating it while watching a video is very simple.
Live text also streams to video
If in iOS 15 we already marveled at the Live Text feature for photos, now with iOS 16 it’s time to check how well it works in a video. Interacting with the text of a video we are watching is as easy as pause playback at the right time. Then we just hold down a word and use the handles to select what interests us.
Once the selection is made, we only have to choose between Copy oh Translate in the menu that appears on the text that interests us. A resource that we can use in any video we have in Photos app or Files app.
This function also works on all videos on the web that use the system player
Really Live Text on Video is extremely useful. So far we could make a screenshot of the section that interested us to translate or copy the content, but now we just have to touch and select it. Couldn’t be simpler.
