Experience Apple Vision Pro It starts as soon as you open the box. The unboxing that Apple has prepared is not the traditional one that adjusts the product area as much as possible to fit the content of a product like the pieces of a puzzle: here they want to look like a product.
The case, which in the absence of more precise measurement could well be compared to that of high boots or two Mac Studios, is larger than what we are used to from the brand. As soon as we open it, we discover why: the viewer is the epicenter of the experience unpacked.
APPLE’S AUGMENTED REALITY GLASSES are called VISION PRO and look like SCIENCE FICTION
A complete case at the level of the first iPhone
On the outside, the case keeps the visible shapes of the device to a minimum. A frontal photograph taken from the front, and the name of the product on the side. The opening method, the same as that of the iPhone box: two parallel strips which no longer contain plastic in the packaging. When you open it, we find ourselves directly with the spectatorwhich appears to come from a store window.
The protection of the outer screen, which is the most delicate and vulnerable part, is protected by a rigid but somewhat flexible housing with a spectacular design – to match the product. The contour is elastic so it can be removed and put on with ease.
If we remove the support that carries the device, we find two containers: one a little large at the top and another half as small at the bottom. They contain all accessories and documentationit’s probably one of the most inclusive products since the original iPhone (which even came with a charging station).
The small part above contains a little information about the device and a chamois with the name of our new purchase. This cloth is important not only for cleaning the exterior glass, but also for doing the same with the interior.
At the lower level of this gap, there is a second buffer to “seal” the visor from outside light. This pad has a different thickness than the installed one, and we might need it if the hardware visionOS and Apple Vision Pro They automatically detect that we need them. In my case, I didn’t need to use it.
In the upper space, inside a rigid envelope, a fantastic book on using the Apple Vision Pro. Be careful, it’s not just pretty, you have to watch it in its entirety: it’s essential learn how to remove and put on the device safely, avoiding picking it up because of the magnetic pads which can come off and find our new purchase on the ground. The correct way is to hold it on the main body of the visor and on the rear adjustment band.
In addition to the rear mounting strap already installed on the device, a “Dual Loop Band” is also included which allows you to hold the headset also from the top of the head. Apple includes it in the box with head measurement setting app It tells us when we make the purchase (whether we buy it online or in a physical store). In my case, the one that was already installed in the viewer was very comfortable and I did not have to change it.
Finally, the device’s external battery, slightly smaller than an iPhone 15 Pro, although significantly heavier. This increase in weight compared to the Apple smartphone does not make it uncomfortable: when we keep it in our pocket We literally forgot about it. Also a USB-C cable at both ends and a 30W charger. These last two accessories will help us connect them to the battery and be able to charge and use the Apple Vision Pro simultaneously.
Everything included, as you might imagine from the price, is quality through and through: both in materials and presentation. You can see Apple’s effort in wanting to give us a very good first impression in terms of design, although a little less size in the box wouldn’t have been a bad idea either. There first user experience It’s simple: you simply connect the battery to the visor, and put them on. Using the product from now on feels incredibly natural – even more so than we could have imagined before we had it.
