Something that isn’t often mentioned in headphone reviews is Bluetooth range. Here we have version 5.2 of the protocol, and I was able to walk around the house without problems in general, but it is true that if we leave the mobile on one floor and go to another, trying to force a lot, the connection is getting worse. However, in general, it behaves as it should, there are no problems with this.

In calls it also works very well, although reception depends on how far we have left the mobile, of course.

Gestures for everything but pinching

The gestures integrated in these Xiaomi Buds 3 Star Wars Edition are gestures by pressure, that is to say by pinching, and not by touch. This is the current trend, even if they seem much more uncomfortable to me.

In this case we have the possibility of using a pinch to pause and resume the music, two to control the volume or other options, and three to move forward or backward in the song, although it is configurable gestures. Of course, we don’t have many options in each section.

If we keep the pressure area pressed, we can activate or deactivate the noise cancellation or invoke the voice assistant.

We also have a presence detector, that is, the headphones pause or play the music when we take them out and put them in our ears. When we do this, when we take it out of the charging box, it makes a sound reminiscent of the sound made by lightsabers in the Star Wars movies.

A good battery with a good charge

The battery of these headphones promises, according to the brand, 7 hours for each charge of the headphones, and 32 hours more if we use the box where we keep them.

As always, it depends on the volume at which we use them, whether or not we activate active noise cancellation, etc.
