As well as being one of the devices of the year, the new iPad Air 4 also brings two new colors under its arm. With this generation, sky blue made its debut, that we saw in the original analysisand the iPad Air 4 in green. The latter is the one that we have been able to test in recent weeks and that we share live and live below.
iPad Air 4 in green, a model to show
Until now, iPads have only had the three or four colors we’ve found in other Apple products. Silver, space gray, gold and even rose gold they were the usual suspects. It was with this generation that Apple decided to introduce two other colors.
While sky blue can sometimes look like silver, and even under certain lighting conditions, space gray, the green color leaves no doubt. It is a subdued color regardless of the lighting conditions, as it is always greenish.
This color invites you to take the iPad uncovered, without any type of shell or keyboard. Although of course, being a model with a smart connector, your chances of productivity are reduced without keyboard or trackpad. That’s why whenever you can, you try to take it into your hands without any kind of protector.
A color that’s hard to hide if you want to take advantage of the iPad Air 4
This iPad Air 4 model stands out for its screen with smaller frames, Home button bypass with Touch ID. Although it doesn’t turn into the Face ID we see on the iPad Pro and chooses to move fingerprint authentication to the power button on the top right edge.
All of this is combined with a color that already invites you to wear it on sight. If our thing is to use this iPad exclusively as a drawing tablet and take notes with Apple Pencil very occasionally, we can choose a transparent cover which reveals the chassis of the device. And to add extra care, tempered glass to protect the facade.
In conclusion, we are faced with a different color that is worth wearing without a cover and an opaque keyboard. If your idea is carry the iPad in your hand to use it with an Apple Pencil or with your fingers, it’s one of the two colors you want to take in the air. It may even be worth it on a keyboard like the Magic Keyboard, as it’s easy to detach and shows the edge of the device with its magnets.
But if your idea is to always wear it with a protective cover, it would be a shame for such a prominent color.
