We save a lot of contacts in the Contacts app on our iPhone. Of all, we usually contact regularly only with a small group. Friends, family or people from work are what we know on the iPhone as favorite contacts, those who, in addition to having a dedicated tab in the Phone application of our iPhone, behave differently throughout our iPhone.
Much more than quick access to our most common contacts
Favorite contacts have several advantages on our iPhone. Your calls, for example, they are usually not silenced
At the same time, we have quick access to these contacts from the Phone app itself or from the corresponding widget. Quick access, all the same, that goes beyond phone calls. Let’s see, then, how to add contacts to our favorites, the steps to follow are as follows:
- We open the app Phone on our iPhone.
- We enter the tab Favorites.
- We touch the + at the top left.
- We select the person we want to add, if necessary we use the search box at the top.
- We choose the contact form: Posts, To call, Video the To post.
- We choose the phone number or email we want to write or call.
Notice, as we saw in step five, that we can do more than just collect numbers to call. For the most common contacts, we can even add them several times
It’s easy. As we can see, correctly setting up favorite contacts on our iPhone goes beyond a quick contact list, although it does include it as well. From receiving calls from that select group to being able to send a message with a single tap, the time it takes us to pick the favorites we want to have will be amply rewarded.
