Apple will surely bring plenty of events with it in 2021, where it will reveal the latest products and services for fans of Mac, iPad, iPhone and more. This is what we think will look like at the highly anticipated spring event.
When is the Apple Spring Event?
Apple has yet to confirm a spring event will be held, but well-known elusive Jon Prosser tweeted in October 2020 that there would be an event on March 16, 2021.

While he has claimed that the AirPods Studio will be the star of the show, this is somewhat mitigated by the fact that Apple will be launching its wireless headphones like the AirPods Max at the end of 2020.
Still, Prosser has a good track record overall, so March 16 still seems like a reasonable guess at this point.
What can we expect to see at the Apple event in March?
Apple typically holds its spring event in March, although that isn’t a certainty as the company has skipped the spring announcements on several occasions in recent years.
At an event in March, the company recently used it to reveal new iPads alongside the iPhone SE and various software products.
For example, in 2019, Apple hosted an event on March 25, where it featured Apple Arcade, Apple TV +, and Apple News + services.
The previous year brought an update to the entry-level 9.7-inch iPad, which in turn had been unveiled two years earlier in another event in March that also saw the arrival. from the original iPhone SE.
It’s worth noting that the iPhone SE (2020) was also released in Spring 2020, but this was done via a press release in April rather than a dedicated event in March.
With all of that in mind, here are the latest rumors and thoughts on what might emerge if Apple hosts an event in Spring 2021.
iPad Pro 2021
A new iPad Pro could arrive this spring, according to industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and supply chain sources. There is no specific date, but all rumors seem to suggest that Apple will update its premium tablet lineup in the first quarter of 2021, which would fit in with an event in March.
ipad mini
There’s a chance March will be iPad month for Apple, with new rumors suggesting we may see an update for the tiny mini. The big buzz is that the iPad mini 6 could have a larger screen, leaving behind the 7.9-inch design which is the same since its introduction almost ten years ago.
Skeptics will point out that Apple typically announces updates to the iPad mini in the fall, but given that the company let four years pass between the iPad mini 4 and the iPad mini 5 (the latter launched in March 2019), we think it’s safe to assume that the above model isn’t set in stone.
10.5 inch iPad
The entry-level model that has traditionally been showcased at the March events complements the iPad lineup. Many believe that Apple may be on the verge of moving the current 10.2-inch iPad to the frame of the recently discontinued iPad Air 3, which would increase the screen size to 10.5-inches.
New iMac design
Why the iMac needs a new design has long been debated. Well, it looks like 2021 may be the year Apple finally tackles the aging chassis of its all-in-one desktop Mac.
The main cosmetic updates would be the reduction of the large bezels that surround the screen, which will go from 21.5 to 23 inches. Of course, the main feature will be the switch to the Apple M1 processor which came on the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac mini in 2020.
Given that Apple wants to move all of its Macs to the new platform, it seems likely that it will appear in the spring, rather than the traditional fall date.

Apple tv
It’s been over three years since Apple last updated its set-top box, and that seems like a long time considering the company launched its new Apple TV + subscription service in March 2019.
There have been many stories circulating that Apple will renew its streaming device in 2020, but nothing has happened. With that in mind, we think there’s a good chance we’ll see a new Apple TV device in March 2021.
It’s also been suggested that Apple release its AirTags tracker and new AirPods Pro Lite earbuds, but we think Apple could focus more on updating its basics this time around. Nonetheless, we hope we don’t have to wait too long to find out.
