We know the legacy that Steve Jobs left, and we know that his widow Laurene continues to work to build on that legacy and leave her own mark on the world. But does this affect the descendants of the co-founder of Apple? Jobs had four children in his lifetime, no less.
I’m not going to personally inquire into the reasons for having these children and the circumstances in which she did so, but we can see what paths they took thanks to what has been known over the years and through the press. Let’s see.
Lisa Brennan-Jobs, journalist and media editor
Steve Jobs’ first daughter was Lisa Brennan Jobs and yes, from this name came the name of one of his first computers. Laurene Powell was not the mother, Lisa is Chrisann Brenann’s daughter. In 1996 he began studying at Harvard University, a career he completed in 2000 by enrolling at King’s College London.
Lisa got a job from major media editor like Vogue or The Southwest Review, and has also collaborated in the media with figures like Oprah Winfrey. He also came to have a personal blog (you can check it from the web archive) and wrote a personal memoir called ‘Small Fry’ in which he recounts what he had to deal with his father before and after reconciled with him. Jobs didn’t help Lisa’s childhood, which wasn’t exactly easy, going so far as to say she was “devastated” to see Steve not pay attention to her during that time.
You can find these souvenirs on Amazon, for only 3.81 dollars, but only in English. Today, Lisa is 45 and continues to work as a journalist and writer.
Reed Jobs, director of the Emerson Collective
reed jobs He was the former Apple CEO’s second child and the first he had with Laurene. Born in 1991, he graduated with honors from Stanford University and later earned a master’s degree from the same institution.
As soon as he finished his studies, he left to work for the Emerson Collective, founded by his mother, where he was manager at the age of 32. From there, it works to provide equal conditions and opportunities to groups that are disadvantaged for social and/or historical reasons.
Erin Siena Jobs, the unknown
Erin was born in 1995 and, as Walter Isaacson wrote in his biography of Steve Jobs, “has more sensitivity than her father”. He is, according to People, the most reserved descendant and the one who kept her life the most secret. It is not known what he studied or what he is doing at the moment. Her younger sister Eve has the photo which you can see in the Instagram post above.
We can only rescue his statements from his father’s biography, in which we read that he wished his father had given him more attention, but at the same time he understands that his job kept him very busy.
Eve Jobs, model and equestrian champion
Eve is the youngest daughter of Steve and Laurene, born in 1998. Her name is due to Eve, the first woman to commit original sin according to the Bible. As a youth, he studied horse riding at the Upper Echelon Academy, where he graduated make it to the Top 1,000 Under 25 Riders list
After that, Eve branched out into the fashion world and started her modeling job in 2020. She is currently working with DNA Model Management agency, where she joined in March 2022, and has been to iconic events like the Met Gala last year. He recently ridiculed the launch of the iPhone 14 with the even from the man in the plaid shirt, criticizing that it looks a lot like the iPhone 13:

Eve has an Instagram account, although she doesn’t usually post about Apple. Her photographs focus on glimpses of her personal life and her work as a model.
Press, fashion, manager… it is curious that none of the descendants of Steve Jobs inherited the passion he had for technology, but after all, all are free to pursue the passions they have. And that they managed to have a busy working life thanks to their parents’ legacy is the best thing that can happen to them.
