Although we’re going for the iPhone 15, we’ve actually seen 17 generations of the iPhone since January 9, 2007, when Steve Jobs introduced the original model. At Applesfera we have tested absolutely all of them, so choose which is the best photo taken with one of them It wasn’t easy, but we did it.
Thanks to syncing with iCloud, we were able to access not only the gallery on our current iPhone, but the entire gallery. The conclusion is a curiosity and also obvious: We’ve had great cameras on iPhones for many years now. So much so that none of our picks are among the newer models. Not even the iPhone 14.
The best photo of Guille Lomener
Our latest hire as Applesfera editor is Guille Lomener, although his experience as a content creator around Apple is by no means short. He has had an iPhone in his hand since 2010 and his choice is one spectacular scene from Tenerife which he took with an iPhone 11 Pro Max.
“This photo is special because it’s one of the first photos I took with the iPhone 11 Pro’s ultra-wide-angle camera. Plus, it’s in Tenerife, at one of the lookout points of Teide One of the places where I have been very relaxed throughout my life, without hearing anything and with impressive views.
The best photo (magazine) of Isra Fdez.
Our coordinator admitted that (as happened to all of us) it was very difficult for him to choose an image. Finally, he opted for this one. immortalization of the most representative part of Malaga. He rightly states that it looks like something from a catalog of the Andalusian city. And the best part, he says, is that “it’s done literally without looking,” with a 2x zoom that impresses with the way it adjusts light and measures detail. “This speaks much better about the iPhone 15 Pro than it does about me,” says Isra.
The most special scene captured by Pedro Aznar
Our director had the pleasure of being one of the few people present at the first opening of the Steve Jobs Theater. Six and a half years ago, when Apple introduced the already iconic iPhone, it laid the groundwork for the then-recently opened Apple Park. Of course, the giant screen photo of Jobs crowns the scene. It was made with an iPhone 7 Plus, Apple’s most avant-garde (until a few minutes later, the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X were official).
The best portrait of César Muela is a dog
César Muela is one of our bosses, being the deputy editorial director of the technology vertical of Webedia USA. With his iPhone 13 Pro Max he has captured countless scenes, although if asked for the best, he adds the sentimental and opts for Thor. Not the god of thunder or the one from the Marvel movies, but his dog. Of course, as he explains, the photo is more than just a portrait of your friend
“This is one of my favorite photos of my dog, Thor. We were in the park, I saw the sunlight contrasting with the background which I really liked and I tried to square it so that it illuminates part of it I like the level of detail that the iPhone 13 Pro Max obtained. It uses the bokeh effect very well, even respecting the hairs of your ears, and the. sharpness even allows you to read your name on its plate And I really like the balanced and natural dynamic range.
The best “studio” photo by Álvaro García M.
For me, as for the rest of my colleagues, it was difficult to choose an image. However, I chose to also choose one of my dogs Toby. And like Caesar, it’s not so much sentimental, but it’s also a great photo that could be photo studio worthy. It was taken with an iPhone 11 Pro in the portrait mode with “mono high key light” filter
The best photos are the ones you take almost accidentally.
What I appreciate in light of our choices is that, even though these weren’t random photos, they are ultimately still a coincidence. These are photos that We turn on the first try and almost without thinking. With the native camera’s automatic mode we can achieve great wonders and play with options such as portrait or zoom, even more.
The virtue of mobile phones, and not just Apple, is increasing in this area. You no longer need a professional camera or even be an expert in photography to capture stunning scenes easily and quickly. Logically, the quality is still lower in a smartphone, but time has shown us how eventually what was once a secondary function in devices like the original iPhone, has become one of the most researched and analyzed functions. Not to mention seeing examples like the ones we’ve presented here.
And you? What is the best photo you have on your iPhone?
