Reset HomePod to remove smart speaker preferences
- With HomePod turned on and connected to Wi-Fi, check that your iPhone is on the same network
- Open the Home app and in the Home section, tap HomePod
- Tap the Settings icon at the bottom right
- Scroll to the end and Tap Reset HomePod
- Select Remove Accessory then click Delete to confirm the decision

- Connect HomePod with a USB-C cable
- Open Finder window or if you are using Windows PC then you need to use Apple devices or iTunes app.
- Select HomePod when it appears on your computer
- Click Restore HomePod
Remove HomePod from your Apple ID
- Open it Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name to access your Apple ID
- Scroll and Click on the HomePod you are going to sell
- Press on Remove from account and confirm the decision
Clean and place the HomePod in its case
