What will users use Apple Intelligence for?

Apple Intelligence could revolutionize the way we use the iPhone by being subtle in the most used apps and functions

Apple presented its Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence in style at WWDC24, an AI that will be present in many places and applications on the company’s operating systems. But what use will iPhone, iPad or Mac users actually have? A CIRP study believes it has the answer.

Apple Intelligence will be present in iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, integrated with Siri and many apps that we have in these operating systems. This will also allow us to create personalized images and emojis using Genmoji. However, are these features that iPhone users will use on a daily basis?

How will iPhone owners use Apple Intelligence?

The CIRP carried out a study in which it asked iPhone users how often they use some of the iPhone’s most important features. Among these functions we have a phone call, send text messages, send emails, browse the Internet, play games, view or edit photos, watch videos or listen to music.

Apple Intelligence has promised to improve many of these features, although there are others in which we will barely have AI-related improvements. Here are the results obtained:

Now that we know the functions that iPhone users use the most, let’s try analyze how Apple Intelligence could affect your daily life of all those who use them:

• posts: It is the most used application, by 95% of users, and Apple Intelligence could help a lot. Apple’s AI is capable of transforming written texts, managing notifications and even creating images and emojis. And all of these functions directly affect messaging apps, so saurians probably use them a lot.
• the Internet: It is used daily by 94% of users and, thanks to improvements in Siri, Internet search could radically change.
• E-mail: It is used by 81% of users and is one of the applications where Apple Intelligence is most integrated. Both when writing or responding to an email and when organizing them.
• Calls: Used by 80% of users, Apple Intelligence is capable of recording calls and offering a transcription and even a summary of the most important part of the call. Something that can be very interesting.
• Video: In this section, Apple Intelligence does not offer many functions, beyond the possibility of creating a personalized video with photos and videos from the Photos application.
• Music: Concerning music, there are not too many Apple Intelligence functions that can be used,
• Pictures: Apple Intelligence offers an interesting tool to eliminate what you don’t like from a photo, in addition to improving memories.
