Almost a year ago WhatsApp additional support for animated stickersBut it wasn’t until a few months ago that the popular email client started allowing users to import or create their own animated stickers through third-party apps.
Now WhatsApp take another step by finally adding Support for animated Gboard stickers
Animated Gboard Stickers on WhatsApp
As of the start of 2019, WhatsApp was compatible with Gboard stickers, but not with animated Google keyboard stickers, so it was a compatibility that many users had been waiting for months.
Until now, if you wanted to share an animated Gboard sticker on WhatsApp, it was shared as an animated GIF, but that with the latest beta has changed. Now the animated gboard stickers
To share an animated sticker from Gboard, simply click on the “Stickers” icon in the top keyboard toolbar and click on some of the hundreds of animated emojis offered by the Google keyboard.
Currently, WhatsApp offers 24 animated sticker packages, but thanks to this new integration with the Google keyboard, users will be able to use the 60 animated sticker packs from Gboard. It is expected that in a few weeks this compatibility will reach the whole world.
