With iOS 18.2, Apple has added a number of new options in the default applications of the parameters, probably in response to an antitrust examination worldwide. Supporting calls and default messages on iOS is listed as a functionality for the beta version of WhatsApp Testflight, but this seems to work very well with the latest version of the IOS application in the App Store (version 25.8.74).
To make whatsapp your default application for the call or messaging, open ParametersScroll down and select ApplicationsSO Default applications. You will see WhatsApp as an option in the Messaging And Call Menus.
