One of the technologies that has better painted the future of the end of the last century is video calls. They have been the subject of future images in books, series and movies, and eventually there may be 3G and 4G networks.
But the fact is that they were not widely used as expected, except in some cases such as immigration.
COVID-19's close-knit globalization has changed that, and video calling apps have enabled its use In countries like Spain we have seen it with HouseParty or Zoom, but the queen in our country is still WhatsApp.
Of course it doesn't have the best communication quality or all of its competitors' options, but knowing that in every available contact you have them is a huge advantage.
We can now make up to 8 video calls on WhatsApp
But mass incarceration presented a new problem: at one point we wanted to make video calls with more people. WhatsApp is limited to the number of participants in 4 people but this has changed as of today.
New limit, is available now in clinical trials, for up to 8 users at a time, when the interface is slightly modified.
We can make a video call with up to 7 people with us, the same way we did before.
In addition, the company recently announced that if we are in a group of four or less and clicking on the video call icon will create one for all its members, which will make using this task much easier.
To use this function we must have a version 2.20,133 WhatsApp, which we have to subscribe to the Play Store Testing section, or download it from the APK Mirror.
In order to make a call from multiple members, everyone will have to update them on this version. If after installing an update it has no function available, we may have to completely delete the application and re-install it.
