This new version of the software is currently in beta phase.
Apple’s software engineers do not stop for a moment in their efforts to continue improving the intrinsic qualities of the software of absolutely every operating system in the company’s product ecosystem. Currently, they are already working on the development of several software versions such as iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, tvOS 16.4, watchOS 9.4 and macOS 13.4.
After the official launch of iOS 16.3 on the iPhone with many new features and security improvements, Apple has started the implementation of the beta phase of iOS 16.4. And recently, the company has already launched the third beta version of iOS 16.4 for all compatible iPhone models, so the release date of the final version is getting closer…
iOS 16.4 release date
Everything seems to indicate that the official release date of iOS 16.4 will be set for the end of March 2023 or, failing that, at the beginning of April. Currently, Apple developers continue to tweak and perfect even the smallest details of their beta releases through software quality reports from users. What is very clear is that the company will not release iOS 16.4 for iPhone until the update is 100% ready.
Interestingly, we can find a very interesting reference that could define more precisely what is the official release date of iOS 16.4 for iPhone. With the iOS 16.3 beta, clues were found in its development code on Apple Music Classical and it’s also in the iOS 16.4 MusicKit code. The app did not make it into the iOS 16.3 update.
Later, the app came to the app store but it is only available for pre-order. The fixed date for Apple Music Classical download is March 28, a date that could coincide with the official release of iOS 16.4. But for now there is nothing confirmed and these are only conjectures.
