The iOS 16 version won’t be official until the fall (probably in September), but Apple’s beta program allows us to test it much earlier. The first developer-only beta was released in June.

Siri improvements

Add Cards to Wallet or Wallet

However, it will initially only be available for Canadian and US English transcription and requires at least an iPhone 11 or later. (The feature is also available on any iPad with an A12 Bionic processor or later, and on any Mac with Apple Silicon.)
Depth of field improvements
There are a few updates related to this area. It is now possible to blur foreground objects that appear in portrait mode photos. Apple claims the depth of field effect is more accurate when manipulating hair and glasses in cinematic mode.
This will work if you have an iPhone 13, 13 Pro, or 13 Pro Max. (At least that’s what Apple lists on the iOS 16 preview page. As for the iPhone 13 mini, the other device to get cinematic mode, will it be included in both updates ?)
Recognition of birds, insects and statues
Visual search it’s a feature that was released in iOS 15 last year. It’s an AI-powered search tool that helps you identify plants, animals, and landmarks in your photos.
Of iOS16, the feature adds bird, insect, and statue recognition to the current repertoire. You will only need to have an iPhone with an A12 Bionic processor or higher. That means it will be supported by iPhone XS/XR or later.
