The arrival of SkyShowtime in Europe is getting closer. The new streaming service arrives at a tricky time for Netflix after the removal of shared accounts (at least for free). The extensive catalog will not leave anyone indifferent, moreover, the news that concerns us will not be either.
We have good news for anyone looking to join the streaming platform that brings together content from Sky Studios, Showtime, Paramount+, Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation, among others. The company has just answered two more than interesting questions: the resolution of content and the ability to share accounts.
Yes, SkyShowtime will allow us to share an account, but the resolution does not leave us so satisfied
When we witnessed the official announcement of this streaming platform we had doubts to solve. One of them, very typical these days, is the ability to share accounts. Although this is not the only thing and we already know the resolution in which we will view the contents of the service.
What we knew from the start was its price: the 2.99 dollars are maintained if you subscribe during the opening promotion, and we will always pay 50% of the total cost, it will be like this for eternity unless we unsubscribe. Not bad if we compare it with the rest of the streaming platforms.
All interested parties wishing to take advantage of the introductory offer should do so before April 25, specifically before 11:59 p.m. today. The million dollar question we all ask ourselves is whether it will be possible to share an account between different households and devices. Well we’re lucky because the response could not have been more positive.
SkyShowtime will allow us to share our personal account without hindrances, reaching a total of three simultaneous devices. Also, in our account we will have up to five holes to create profiles. It seems that the new streaming platform is doing well, and it’s not like they can say otherwise after the controversy generated by Netflix.
In relation to the resolution, we will be able to visualize all the movies and series included in FullHDwhich is the same, a resolution of 1920 x 1080. For now, 4K TVs will have to wait to reach that quality with SkyShowtime content.
One piece of information we don’t know is whether the three devices may have different IP addresses. We will update with the official response.
These news only raise expectations for the streaming platform on the horizon. At SkyShowtime, the general reaction of Netflix users must have weighed in, and they decided well.
Soon we’ll have it between us and we will see its real reach. For now, we wait with our fingers crossed, lest they retract prematurely.
