A somewhat “historical” moment for those who like to pilgrimage in the most important places in Apple’s history. Its first official store, the Apple Store at Tysons Corner Mall, is moving after 22 years of serving customers. The center is in McLean, very close to Washington DC.
It won’t go far: it will continue to be in the same mall but in a bigger location and near the main entrance to it. There is already a wall that covers the works with a special edition of the company logo and promises a completely renovated Apple Store.
“A new chapter is coming soon”
Steve Jobs himself is the one who gave the first visit from the original Apple Store, showing parts that no longer exist, such as the red phone in the Genius Bar or the app counters for sale in physical format. You can see it in the following video:
It is what it says the construction wall of the new premises:
“The first Apple Store in history opened its doors 22 years ago here at Tysons Corner. We look forward to welcoming you to this newly reimagined space. Thank you for being part of our story. Here comes the next chapter.
Now that 22 years have passed and 524 more stores have opened, what happens to one store among many is nothing special. But for the nostalgic people who saw the birth of the Apple Retail division, this store is a milestone that prepares for news that Apple may bring in the future
Who knows: maybe being such a current reform we will see traces of an interesting novelty or space. Because I’m saying they’re going to have to do something in stores to show and sell the Reality Pro that we’ll see at WWDC 2023… right?
By the way, if you liked the Apple logo that Apple created for the occasion, Basic Apple user Guy made a series of wallpapers that you might like. You can view and download them at it’s tweeted.
