We are a few months away from the launch of the new generation of iPhone and everything indicates that the iPhone 15 will arrive with many improvements over the current generation. iPhone 14 Pro vs. iPhone 15 Pro
Thanks to all the leaks, we already know the iPhone 15 Pro pretty well, although surely Apple has some surprises in store for its launch. But knowing what we know now, and considering the rumors, these will be the news that the iPhone 15 Pro will have compared to the iPhone 14 Pro:
- A17 Bionic chip vs A16 Bionic chip. The jump in power this year will be bigger than what we experienced last year. The A17 Bionic chip will be manufactured in 3nm, against the 4nm of the A16, so it will be more powerful and efficient. We can expect performance and efficiency improvements.
- USB-C versus Lightning. One of the biggest changes in iPhone history, Apple only used two connection types in iPhone and they were always proprietary. The iPhone 15 Pro is easier to charge with USB-C, being able to charge an iPhone, iPad and Mac with a single cable.

- Camera improvements. The camera system of the iPhone 15 Pro will improve a lot, although in this case the main improvement will come from the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which will integrate a new telephoto sensor that could triple the current zoom of the iPhone 14 Pro.
- New design. Apple is going to modify the design of the iPhone 15 Pro which will be more rounded on its sides, in addition to having some other rather interesting changes:
- action button. Apple will replace the mute switch with a customizable action button.
- titanium frame. Stainless steel could give way to lighter and stronger titanium.
- thinner frames. The iPhone 15 Pro’s bezels will be the thinnest in the industry.
- New color. The black, white and gold colors are always present in the Pro range, but the fourth color changes every year. The iPhone 15 Pro should change from purple to red.
The iPhone 15 Pro will slightly modify its design
- Longer battery life. It’s something we take for granted with every generation of iPhone. In this case, due to the efficiency of the A17 Bionic chip, it is likely that we will gain an hour of additional autonomy.
- RAM increase. The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to pack in 8GB of RAM which will be the maximum RAM an iPhone has ever had, so far the maximum is 6GB.
