In recent years, Nokia has become synonymous with cheap mobiles, due to its commitment to the most conservative and simple models. But little by little, the brand that once dominated the market is spreading to other sectors.

Today’s announcements prove it. Not only did it introduce three different phones, each aimed at a different price range, but it also announced a tablet, headphones, speaker, and even changes like a subscription service in some countries.
new nokia mobiles
As for the former, the star is undoubtedly the new Nokia X30 5G For a simple reason: it is the first Nokia mobile with an AMOLED screen since this Nokia 9 Pureview which made us dream so much for its 5 cameras. It’s a 5.43-inch panel with FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Therefore, it aspires to a higher sector than usual, and this is noticeable in higher technical characteristics, although it does not become a high-end mobile.
The other aspect in which this mobile is special is in the manufacture, since the chassis built for 100% recycled aluminum, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to a greener image. And although the back cover is made of plastic, it is at least 60% recycled. Where this mobile may lag behind is in the technical characteristics, since it uses a Snapdragon 695 that we are used to seeing in cheaper mobiles. At least that assumes compatibility with 5G networks. It is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, with a 4,200 mAh battery and 33 W fast charging. As for the cameras, the main one is 50 Mpx with optical stabilization and a wide angle of 13 Mpx , and a 16MP front camera. The Nokia X30 5G will cost 530 dollars.
A step below is where the Nokia G60 5G, which is also based on the same Snapdragon 695 but loses the aluminum chassis and AMOLED screen and is therefore cheaper. It is good to see that the ecological commitment continues in this model, with a rear made of 100% recycled plastic and a chassis also made of 60% recycled plastic. For the rest, it is extremely similar, also in design; the big difference is the screen which is only LCD but, in return, reaches 120 Hz and is larger, 6.58 inches. It will cost you 320 dollars.
Finally, the Nokia C31 This is the typical mobile that Nokia has launched in recent years. The screen is large, 6.75 inches, but it is only LCD and with HD + resolution. The interior doesn’t stand out either, featuring a Unisoc 9863A1 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The main camera is just 13MP, with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. It will cost you 240 dollars.
A novelty of which we still do not know if Europe will arrive is the new circular service, which allows us to use the X30 or G60 with a monthly payment instead of buying the mobile directly. The great advantage is that the longer we use these mobiles, the more “seeds” we will earn, a kind of credit that we can use to donate to environmental causes.
Tablets, headphones and more
Nokia also took the opportunity to present a tablet, the Nokia T21, which directly succeeds the T20. It uses a 10.3-inch screen and 2K resolution, compatible with a touch pen, although it is not included. Inside, a Unisoc T612 accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, in addition to an 8,200 mAh battery with 18 W charging.
The Nokia brand has also expanded into accessories, and today wireless headphones were announced, the Nokia Clarity Earbuds 2 Pro with active noise cancellation and 13mm drivers for just 100 dollars. It is accompanied by a nomadic speaker, which although it only has a 5 W speaker can be interesting, promising 22 hours of continuous use and a price of only 55 dollars.
