Fortunately, Spanish operators are gradually catching up with the routers they offer with their offers; the last example is that of Jazztel and the new router with Wi-Fi 6 that it offers to its customers.

The new Jazztel device is available for the operator’s new customers; for the moment, customers who are already in Jazztel cannot request the changethey will therefore have to settle for the model that initially came to them, at least for now.
Specifically, new customers and those coming from another portability operator will receive the new router, provided they opt for premium 1 Gb fiber as their subscription. Therefore, fiber optic users with lower speeds such as 300MB that are still offered will continue to receive the older router model. To accompany this launch, Jazztel is offering a discount on the 1Gb fiber line, which now it costs 30.95 dollars per month (final price) compared to the 36.95 dollars per month that it normally costs.

This is something that makes more sense, since precisely one of the advantages of the new router model is that it will take better advantage of the speed of optical fiber, offering faster wireless connections. But perhaps more important than that, WiFi 6 introduced other new features such as greater network stability and lower latency, which we’ll especially notice when streaming high-res video. Gamers will notice this too, especially in multiplayer games where speed and reactions are important.
Another advantage is that we can connect more devices at the same time to our network, without fear of causing connection problems or loss of performance; it’s something precious in a world where practically everything we have at home is connected to the Internet. In fact, it’s not a particularly surprising release. The router is a Livebox 6 initially offered by Orange, of which Jazztel is a subsidiary; however, it’s still good news that the WiFi 6 connection is growing.
