For a long time, smartphones have become the most used device for listening to music by many people around the world. Our mobile phones have hardware and software features that allow them to give us good audio qualitybut some of its possibilities are usually hidden.
Some manufacturers may limit the audio quality of mobile phones to, for example, protect the speakers and our ears by limiting the volume of these devices. In the case of Xiaomi, There are ways to enjoy maximum audio quality when you listen to music or any type of content; You can improve the sound quality in a few seconds, thanks to a secret menu.
How to enable the secret setting for “High Definition Audio” on your Xiaomi
Both HyperOS and MIUI have different tools to improve the audio quality of our devices. One of them is a powerful equalizer that allows us to make music better than ever. However, other functions are hidden in developer menu of the operating system.
One of these features is the support for “HD Audio”, which allows you to obtain better audio quality in terms of details and volume when playing music or any type of sound (movies, games, among others). To activate this feature, the first thing you have to do is unlock hidden developer menu.
We follow these steps:
- Let’s go to the mobile Settings menu
- We access the “About phone” section
- Click on “Operating system version” several times until a message appears saying “You are now a developer!”
From this moment on, You can now access the Developer Options menu on your mobile. Now let’s activate the feature that improves audio quality.
- We return to the Settings menu
- We access the section Additional settings
- On this screen we press Developer Options
- Finally, we scroll down until we find the option HD Audio and we activate it (this option on some mobile phones can only be enabled if you have a device connected via Bluetooth, such as headphones or speakers)
After making this change in settings, the mobile will play audio with the highest quality available. This setting can be done on Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones. Once the process is complete, you can choose to disable developer options from the same screen, as this menu is full of options that can affect or modify certain features of the mobile and it is better not to touch them.
