Well known reminder and service management services Wunderlist sent an email to all users to remind them of thatthe service will close its doors on May 6. The proposed alternative is Microsoft To Do.
From Wunderlist to Do
The closure of the app is due to the purchase of a service by Microsoft, which has "turned" into its To Do service. As stated in the message we can proceed to access the list and to import temporarily after May 6, but you will no longer be able to make changes or create new jobs.
As Microsoft discloses:
With the union of work and personal life, it has never been more important to stay connected and stay on top of more important things. We are committed to helping you accomplish this task by ensuring that the transition from Wunderlist to Microsoft To Do is as smooth as possible.
In an email, Microsoft invites us to visit wunderlist.com/switch where we have instructions for transferring service content to the new To Do. The steps are, in fact, quite simple:
- We downloaded the Microsoft To Do program.
- Signing in with your Microsoft account. If we don't have one we can create it with an existing email address.
- We tap the Microsoft To Do popup window that will redirect us to the Wunderlist importer.
While Do Do is offered as an alternative to Wunderlist and offers easy migration options, there are other options like Reminders Available on all Apple, Todoist or Any.Do devices.
