Xiaomi has just announced its next inexpensive mobile, the Xiaomi Redmi A3. The terminal continues the Redmi A range from the Redmi A2, which instead of having MIUI or HyperOS, are based on Android Go.
The Xiaomi Redmi A3 is therefore a Xiaomi mobile with pure Android almost unchangedaccompanied by somewhat modest specifications and a price according to them, but with a striking design.

Xiaomi, but without MIUI or HyperOS
Xiaomi’s Android One experience ended (for now at least) with the Xiaomi A3, but the Android Go experience continues for another year with the launch of the new Xiaomi Redmi A3, with Android 14 GB edition. As such, they feature an operating system closer to stock Android, although they still include some in-house apps, like the Phone app.
The Xiaomi Redmi A3 is cheap, so the specifications are tight. In front there is a screen 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. At the top is the 5-megapixel front camera, in a teardrop notch.
Behind, the Redmi A3 has a leather texture finish and a huge circular camera modulewith an 8-megapixel main lens and another supporting lens whose characteristics are unknown.
The Xiaomi Redmi A3 comes with a MediaTek Helio G36with 3, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of corresponding storage of your choice, in addition to being able to use a MicroSD up to 1 TB.
Concerning the battery, the Redmi A3 has a battery of 5,000 mAh with 10W charging and includes the charger in the box. A notable fact is that the terminal has a fingerprint reader on the power button.
Versions and prices of the Xiaomi Redmi A3
The Xiaomi Redmi A3 was first announced in India and we still don’t know if it will be sold in Europe. It is available in colors black, green and blue and has the following prices:
- Xiaomi Redmi A3 3+64 GB: 7,299 rupees, or around 81 at the exchange rate.
- Xiaomi Redmi A3 4+128 GB: 8,299 rupees, or approximately 93 dollars at the exchange rate.
- Xiaomi Redmi A3 6+128 GB: 9,299 rupees, or around 104 at the exchange rate.
