Xiaomi stops updating and will repair affected devices
After the large number of errors, Xiaomi announced that Android 11 update has stopped of Mi A3 to prevent more devices from being affected, as well as to offer a solution for repair affected devices free of charge.
The declaration of Xiaomi India spokesperson was the following:
We are aware of the issue on some Mi A3 devices after the recent update to Android 11. We have since stopped the launch.
We ask users who encounter this problem to visit one of the more than 2000 service centers across the country, where a solution will be provided free of charge and unconditionally (under or out of warranty).
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. As a brand committed to providing the best user experience possible, we will continuously improve our products and services.
It seems that the Android 11 update for the Mi A3 was only officially released in India, with which only devices from that country suffered this fatal update. In the rest of the world, the Mi A3 still does not have the update available.
Xiaomi is waiting soon find the solution to these problems to resume the update and bring Android 11 to the Mi A3 around the world at the start of this new year, so they will have to wait a little longer to take advantage of all the new features of this new version.
