Xiaomi’s trick to change the size and shape of icons without installing anything

Xiaomi has, thanks to MIUI, which is its customization layer, a large number of settings to change the interface, and this also covers launcher icons, whose size and even the number can be modified.

Usually this has always required a third-party launcher like Nova Launcher or Lawnchair, but now MIUI lets you do it natively, without having to install anything.

This configuration changes depending on the brand you use within the Xiaomi ecosystem, since it is different depending on whether you are using a Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO mobile.

Settings on Xiaomi and Redmi

Mobiles that go out under the Xiaomi and Redmi brand they have a bit stiffer setup in some regards when it comes to customization.

On the one hand, most only leave choose between a 4×6 or 5×6 grid, without being able to modify this section in any way. The larger the screen, the more comfortable it will be to have a greater number of icons.

By changing the icon size, you have a bar that you can move left or right to make them smaller or larger according to your preference, there are not only three default sizes.
