Microsoft shifted its focus to the travel sector when it realized that none of its mobile apps were competitors for Android or iOS. Satya Nadella left the way for Steve Balmer and, little by little, we have seen the company's move which means it is moving closer to Android.
One of these is the movement we saw in the summer of 2018, when Microsoft enabled its users to use a system that connected Windows computers to Android phones. It's called Your Phone, and in recent months it has improved a little.
Today It gets a function that we can all use, and most expected, to call from a computer.
What activities are available?
Although making phone calls is not a new thing, they were created for them, doing so from a PC without an Internet connection is a new thing. We can:
- Answer calls from your PC.
- Start calls from PC.
- Reject calls, be able to send a text message or send a call to your voicemail.
- Access call history from PC.
In addition to this we can use other functions of this application, such as seeing a cell phone battery, syncing photos or receiving notifications on our computer screen, it is not necessary to have a cell phone in front to see it.
How to drive from PC
To use this function, we must have your phone program installed on our computer, which we can uninstall from this link. In addition, we will have to download an Android app called Your phone partner, in the Google Play store.
This function was available to users testing new Windows functions, called Insider, but from today it's open to everyone.
