Fortunately the theme has improved over the years, but today you can still find yourself on your mobile traces of apps you uninstalled months or years ago. We tell you how you can eliminate them and leave no trace.
We’ll walk you through the three simple steps to delete an application from your Android mobile and all its remainswith which you will not only be able to free up some extra space, but also feel that your mobile is a little more tidy and full of garbage from applications that you don’t even use anymore.
The first step, the normal uninstallation
Ideally, applications save data in its own folder and when you uninstall the app, the app and its data disappear, but that’s not always ideal. For example, in applications where we generate data that we want to save, such as a photo editor or a video editor, we may want to uninstall the application, but not the photos or videos that we have modified.
For normal data, the ones the app saves in its own folder, we don’t have to worry. Android will remove them when uninstalling the appunless we tell you otherwise. Nowadays, only some apps ask you if you want to keep the data, like WhatsApp.
Otherwise, this data saved in the application folder in \Data\ they will be erased, but not those saved in other folders. For this you will have to follow the following steps.
Let me clean SD Maid
One of the apps that specializes in finding traces of apps you no longer have
The waste seeker scans your mobile storage for files and folders belonging to apps you no longer have, giving you the option to delete them later. It is the most comfortable option to clean from time to time those unwanted remains of applications that you do not have on your mobile, although even when you use it it is recommended to also do a manual cleaning.

Delete other traces of a file manager
If you have used SD Maid, it is normal that you do not have too much garbage on your mobile, but the application is not foolproof and it also plays safe, without suggesting files that you may be interested in keep. If you want to clean thoroughly, you will need a file manager for android. Worth it with anyone, really, although personally I prefer MiXplorer.
Your task will be to look in the mobile storage root folder for folders suspected of belonging to apps you no longer have. Sometimes it’s easy, because they use the app name and you will be able to recognize them like that, although at other times it may be more difficult or have the name in Chinese. Before you delete anything, make sure what’s inside is consumable, and if in doubt, don’t delete it.
