You won’t be able to use Google Chrome’s latest flagship feature on your Android mobile

The ability to share a group of tabs with anyone in real time has been leaked very recently. A novelty that is linked to what the tech giant has just announced from its blog and that is related to the groups of tabs that can now be saved synchronously on the desktop, and soon with mobile devices. The first ones are Apple’s.

Just on the day of the presentation of Apple’s new iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods, Google took a moment on its blog to announce the novelty of its browser and confirms today that the ability to sync tab groups between the mobile and desktop versions of Chrome will be available soon.

On iPad and iPhone, you can now create and name a tab group; will appear in the tab bar on the desktopexactly left. In fact, Google is already working on a dedicated tabbed interface for Android, but today the day has gone for iOS.

So tab groups are now available in Chrome for iOS in version 128. On iPhone and iPad, they can be created by long-pressing and selecting “Add tab to new group”, with the option to name it and assign it a color.

Right after performing this action, the experience or workflow is similar to what is done when adding other pages. Of course, iPad or iPhone users won’t be able to enjoy the drag-and-drop tab experience offered to Android users.

There is another new feature in the browser: Chrome is already testing suggested pages for revisit in tabs that the user has opened on some of your other devices. It is linked to the tab that recommends the user to continue in this tab on the new tab creation page that is generated on local pages after the browser has not been used.

This new feature is coming soon to Android, iOS, and desktop so Google can help you remember the exact URL or bookmark the page to revisit at a later date.

What is unknown, according to 9to5Googleis the exact date to display grouped tabs in Android which arrive today on iOS in Europe. Depending on the development of the new interface to be used, it will depend on the possibility of exploiting this important experience.
