The smartphone market is huge, and as a result there are many firms that make sales and distribution reports that allow us to know which phones are popular. The latest Customerpoint Research report shows the top ten best-selling phones in the world during the third quarter of 2019. And there are many surprises.
The best-selling mobile phone was the iPhone
The fact that the iPhone is in the top 10 best-selling store is not something to be surprised. Apple has a few models in its catalog and still manages to be among the best-selling manufacturers, which means its sales have been reduced sharply on a few models.
Of all those types, it was reasonable to assume that the one that would sell the best was the iPhone Xr (with a 3% market share), being Apple's leading mobile phone in terms of performance / price. Or at least, that was until the launch of the iPhone 11, Apple's other top 10 phone.
The latter is particularly impressive, since the third quarter of 2019 covers the months of July, August and September. The iPhone 11 went on sale on September 20, so to speak You managed to get 1.6% in just 11 days.
And the best selling of Android was …
Moving on to the top 2, we get a completely different case, and if one thinks of the iPhone Xr as the best-selling mobile phone, perhaps it would be wise to think of the Galaxy S10 or Huawei P30 Pro as the second-best-selling cell phone. There is nothing beyond reality.
The second cell phone, so the best-selling Android, was the Samsung Galaxy A10. At first we were surprised, or even puzzled, by the cheapest phone (not counting Android Go) of the world's largest smartphone manufacturer. Mobile that has conquered the market low cost.
This is not the end of Samsung's success, because in third place we get the Galaxy A50 and in seventh place is the Ghana A20.
New Samsung Galaxy A10: this is the cheapest new Samsung
Samsung Galaxy A10 comes as one of Samsung's cheaper options for low-end models. A basic cellphone at a really low price.
The top ten phones in the third quarter of 2019
- IPhone Xr (3%): Apart from the high price, nothing can be said about the quality of the iPhone Xr.
- Samsung Galaxy A10 (2.6%): The most expensive cellphone in Samsung's catalog.
- Samsung Galaxy A50 (1.9%): It is one of the 10 most competitive products in the Galaxy brand. It has everything for a great price.

- IPhone 11 (1.6%): Extremely successful considering its price and that's only 11 days of the quarter.
- Oppo A5s (1.5%): Another successful Oppo model.
- Samsung Galaxy A20 (1.4%): If the A10 wins in its price with the A50 of features, gauging the success of the A20 is a bit more complicated, since the a priori seems less obvious.
- Oppo A5 (1,3%): Not only A5s, but its predecessor has managed to get into this situation. If the A5 and A5s make a sales estimate, they can reach the top 2.
- Xiaomi Redmi 7A (1.2%): Xiaomi's cheapest mobile phone, being one of the few cheap phones available.
- Huawei P30 (1.1%): The only top-10 Android release, Huawei's success.
