The new One UI 7 is the next major operating system update that runs Samsung Galaxy devices. This version is based on the new Android 15and Samsung has already announced that it will be full of improvements, changes and new features in terms of artificial intelligence.
However, you will have to wait to use the new version of the operating system. The company announced that One UI 7 will not arrive this yearbut compatible smartphones and tablets will receive the update from 2025.

In 2023, Samsung released the One UI 6 update shortly after the arrival of Android 14, the first devices started receiving it in late October. This year, however, it seems that updates to the Android-based operating system they take more time than necessary to arrive, even Android 15 itself takes time to reach the compatible Google Pixel.
Samsung announced at its developers conference, SDC24 in California, United States, that the One UI 7 update “will arrive next year with the new Galaxy”, indicating that the new version of the operating system will arrive in conjunction with The Samsung Galaxy S25.
In recent years, Samsung has launched new versions of One UI between the months of October and November, then launched the first major update in January or February with the new generation of the Galaxy S. That same year, for example, The Galaxy S24 mobile family debuted alongside One UI 6.1, an update that included artificial intelligence functions of Galaxy AI, among other changes.
One UI 7 will arrive in 2025 with the new Galaxy, which means that the debut of the new version of the operating system will be with the Galaxy S25.
In the case of One UI 7 it will be different. This version will arrive alongside the Galaxy S25, so this year we will not receive another major operating system update, the last major update for 2024 is One UI 6.1.1, which is now available and includes also artificial intelligence news.
One UI 7 beta will arrive this year and reveal operating system details
Samsung also announced during its SDC24 conference that the A beta version of UI 7 will be available this year for developers. Additionally, the company revealed the three most important approaches and changes that we will see in the next version of its operating system:
- A simpler, cleaner and more intuitive interface that will understand what we want to do.
- An operating system that generates a greater impression and impact on the user.
- An interface that generates a positive emotional response from users.
We will have to wait to learn more and be able to see in detail the changes that the One UI interface will undergo, but it certainly looks very interesting. Finally, we must remember that The update will be available for a large number of devicesincluding Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, multiple generations of foldables, tablets and many other Samsung Galaxy devices.
