The new ColorOS 13 is already here, and it’s already coming to the first devices. Oppo’s plan is one of the most ambitious we’ve seen with Android 13, as it involves updating a good number of devices over the rest of the year.

It’s striking because ColorOS 13 brings many new features, apart from the improvements that Android 13 already brings as standard; Instead of just releasing a new version with the improvements put in place by Google, Oppo took the opportunity to implement a new design and interesting features.
Spotify on Oppo phones
One of these innovations will be the new smart screen in “Always-On-Display”, that is to say the lock screen which rema ins on to display information. With ColorOS 13 we will see a new gallery called “Pride”, which shows animal animations in addition to the time.
Now, Oppo has confirmed that this always-on display feature will also be integrated into Spotify. This will allow us to see what song or podcast is playing at that moment just by looking at the screen, without having to unlock the device. In addition, we can also control playback, change songs or access recommendations, without the need to unlock.
Spotify will also be integrated with the rest of the ColorOS news, such as the Shelf function which allows you to have information cards on the home screen; in the case of Spotify, your card will show content recommendations.
Finally, Spotify will also have an exclusive widget on the ColorOS home screen, which will give us quick access to the application without having to open it. These integrations are interesting because they show that, even with Android 13, it is still possible for each manufacturer to offer a different experience, starting from the same base. In that case, if you’re a Spotify fan, or it’s just your most-used app, these integrations can save you a lot of time and make it easier to use the service.
