Over the years we have seen how smartphones have retrofitted many gadgets and devices, from watches to alarm clocks, through portfolio or gameplay. Yes, it is true that many players prefer to use a desktop or portable console instead of a mobile.
But even if that's the case the smartphone comes in handy, at least if we have Nintendo Switch and need more control.
This is what JoyCon Druid does, an app we can download from the Google Play Store and turns our mobile phone into a control.
JoyCon right, left, or Pro control
This new app, which is in the testing phase, lets you pair your phone to the console using blue and make you believe it's one of the official controls.
This is ideal for us to be able to play cooperative articles when we need more controllers to play with our friends.
We can choose the right JoyCon, left, or Pro Controller.
How to pair JoyCon Droid with Nintendo Switch
To start, we will need a cell phone compatible with Android 9 or higher as this version is the first to present a Bluetooth HID profile, a display control service that uses Bluetooth. When the app is installed on the mobile phone:
- We open JoyCon Droid.
- We started looking for a concert in blue.
- We choose the type of command we want.
- Click the Next button.
- On Nintendo Change icon for Controls.
- And in the console, click the icon Change order or attachment mode.
The console will be connected to a mobile phone and we can use the smartphone touch screen to control the different games we have.
Being an alpha version, there are some phones that are not included, some have locks, but most work well with JoyCon Droid. If you have a Switch you can try it.
The app is free and has advertising, or it can be downloaded at a combined charge of 5.99 euros.
