Google has long announced that it will enable YouTube to act as its own music application, not just videos. To do this, you introduced YouTube Music, an app that will replace Google Play Music, but has not yet done so.
One of the reasons why they're both still available is because Google Play Music, besides being a widely used app, has a feature that makes it different: you can upload your MP3s to the cloud for free.
This way, we can use streaming music from our library at no charge for your monthly subscription. In fact, that's why when I listen to music online, I use Play Music.
YouTube Music will allow you to upload your music to the Internet
At 9to5Google have noticed that in the latest version of the APK app, there was a code that wasn't there before, and it seems to be referring to the possibilities of uploading music from our profile to the library.
This may come as a surprise, but the company had announced it almost two years ago. And it seems we are closer than ever.
This code makes us think that when we upload music we will be able to navigate through it using author information, albums or songs, such as how we currently do it on Google Play Music.
We currently cannot fly instruments but this function may be the main reason for using YouTube Music instead of Sotify or other means. We hope that it will be official in the coming weeks.
