Maybe Apple should reconsider its marketing strategy in the App Store. The company is charging a 30% of profits generated by developer subscriptions. After the first year, the tax drops to 15%.

A few months ago, Netflix had canceled their Windows subscriptions and IPOS App Store to exceed the price set by Apple, giving users the only archive of streaming platform streaming services from the official website from Netflix.

And now Google will do the same with its YouTube TV program. As they show from CNET, YouTube TV will no longer offer subscriptions for in-app purchases from the App Store.

You will no longer be able to renew your YouTube TV subscription from the App Store

From YouTube let us know that subscribers paying for YouTube TV services through the App Store will see how their subscriptions are automatically canceled on the first day of renewal from March 13. Subscribers must wait until that date to switch to a new payment method.

“YouTube TV will no longer support in-app purchases of iOS. Apple will continue to be an important YouTube partner, and our users can continue to enjoy their favorite content across iOS devices. ”

As we mentioned earlier, it is not the first company that has decided to cancel subscriptions of its applications in order to avoid the percentage of Apple charges on App Store fees. If you change your payment method for subscriptions, YouTube TV will not have to share the profits generated by your subscriptions.

What do you think about this topic? Should Apple lower prices?
