Apple kept its promise to sell the new Mac Pro before the end of 2019. Behind it came the Pro Display XDR track, a screen specifically designed for this computer and offering professional image quality. As the company explains, it is the first 32-inch retina 6K screen, 1,600 nits of light and 1,000,000: 1 contrast.
Although the ideal companion for the new Pro Display XDR is the new Mac Pro, it can still be used with other Apple computers. It also works with some PCs through the Windows operating system. YouTuber has tested Apple's latest monitoring with 13 different computers to monitor its performance.
From iPad Pro to Microsoft Laptop 3
The behavior of the monitor varies depending on the equipment and its age. While several PCs and Macs connect with no problems, the biggest adjustment you can show the video is 5K, even though it is 10 bit N600 that allows HDR content to be played. Then there are some that have 6K power but only 8 bit. And although there are Windows computers that can use the track, not all of them are compatible.
