Zens Nightstand Charger Pro 2, small but powerful

We tested the new Zens Nightstand Pro 2 charger, a charging base so compact that you can take it anywhere without sacrificing fast charging for your iPhone and Apple Watch.

If we think of a charger for iPhone and Apple Watch with maximum features, we surely think of large models that are difficult to carry anywhere. However, Zens offers us a charger that can perfectly meet the requirements of a desktop charger and a travel charger, since its folding system and ultra-compact size make it perfect to carry in a backpack or suitcase, and all this without giving up the maximum features that we can ask for today for our iPhone or Apple Watch.

With a design very similar to the Nightstand Charger that we analyzed a few months ago, the new Nightstand Charger Pro 2 has found a way to incorporate a charger for Apple Watch without changing its size and weight. It is exactly the same as the normal model, but when we unfold the iPhone charging disk, we can find the Apple Watch charging disk just below. A very smart and practical design that makes it the perfect item to take with you on any trip.to which we must also add the fact that in the included power adapter (something unusual in these accessories) we have the adapters to be able to use it in any socket, whether from the United States, the United Kingdom or Europe.

If we talk about performance, you won’t find any charger that improves it: Qi2 for iPhone, which means fast charging (15W) on any compatible iPhone (from iPhone 12) and also fast charging (5W) for Apple Watch (from Series 7). Of course, these fast charging systems are compatible with the different smart charging modes that the iPhone and Apple Watch have, so if you want to take care of your battery and don’t need it to be charged as quickly as possible, you won’t have any problems with this charger. The Qi2 disk is also compatible with products such as AirPods with wireless charging case, other headphones or even other smartphones from other brands.

The discreet design of the charging base means that you cannot place the iPhone vertically, but you can do it horizontally and thus take advantage of the sleep mode which allows you to view your iPhone screen with widgets of different types, or as a photo frame. You will be able to see notifications that arrive on your phone while having a beautiful desk clock or control your home automation accessories. This is a very practical feature when you are working at your desk or when you use it as an alarm clock on your nightstand.

As for the operation, you have nothing to complain about because meets the most demanding standards. Wireless charging in the summer can be problematic with the high temperatures we experience in some countries, but by using the Qi2 system with magnetic alignment, heat generation is minimised and therefore there are no issues with your battery. If you have ever used a ‘cheap’ charging base, you have probably found that your iPhone had to turn off charging because it was too hot. This will not happen to you here.
