In a somewhat strange way, ZTE presented its new high-end mobile. We had rumors for a few days (that it charges 135W, that it does Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, etc.), but now finally We already have all the features of the ZTE Axon 50 Ultra. Or cases.
Next we are going to detail everything we know about the terminal, but I say that it has been a particular presentation because the mobile goes on sale today in China, but the company has not given key details and, although it appears on its official page, redirects to the previous generation. Having said that, Let’s go with what there is to know about the Axon 50 Ultra.

Without invisible front camera and with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
This Axon 50 Ultra should not be confused with the ZTE Nubia Z50 Ultra that we saw a few weeks ago. We thought the Ultra model would hit our territory as the Axon 50 Ultra, but it looks like the company had another card up its sleeve.
The “real” Axon 50 Ultra is totally different and has a screen with curved sides. The panel is OLED with a diagonal of 6.67 inches.it has 10 bit color depth and the resolution is 2400 x 1080 pixels. The refresh rate goes from 120 Hz to 144 Hz, but it does not have LTPO technology.
And yes, what you see at the top of the screen is the front camera. It has a resolution of 16 megapixels and, as we can see, this is not a camera under the screen as the previous generation did. It’s less flashy, obviously, but it certainly delivers better results.
To complete the photographic part, we have a large rear module in which we find the 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 sensor for the main camera, as well as two 50-megapixel sensors for telephoto and wide angle. This wide angle also performs macro functions with a minimum focus of two centimeters.
Inside we do not find the latest generation of Qualcomm, as expected, but the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 accompanied by an unknown amount of RAM which we know to be LPDDR5X and, also, an unknown amount of UFS 3.1 storage. Again, when we have concrete data, we will update.
What we do know is that the battery shows the way through its ability to 5,000 mAh with its 80 W charge. And something curious is that to the 5G connectivity the satellite connection is added to be able to call from the point of the planet where we are.
It is something that we have seen in mobiles such as the iPhone 14 or the Huawei P60 and that we will see so little by little it becomes popular among high-end mobiles.
Versions, prices and version of ZTE Axon 50 Ultra
As you can see we know a lot about this ZTE Axon 50 Ultra and we know that it went on sale in China and will be available soon, but we have a price to be able to make the conversion. Of course, given the precedents, it is quite possible that we will see this terminal on our territory.
If we enter the world of guesswork, could come with the name of Axon 50 Pro, I feel the Nubia Z50 Ultra our Axon 50 Ultra and, as it should be, the worthy heir to the Axon 40 Ultra. Either way, we’ll be here to tell you about it.
