Ten years of suffering
In 2011, the very first version of “The Binding of Isaac” saw the light of day. Revolutionary in its time, Edmund McMillen’s game plunged players into a tortured universe in which poor Isaac must do everything he can to survive and escape his mother, inhabited by a strange divine mission and determined to save her son sacrifice. Years later, in 2014, the Rebirth version saw the light of day and further established itself as the standard benchmark for roguelikes. Entertaining, comprehensive, as challenging as it is rewarding, Rebirth embodies the best of the genre and will enter the pantheon of video games some time later with the release of these three expansions. Ten years later, “The Binding of Isaac” continues its journey and remains the absolute reference in roguelikes. An undeniable must-see that you will definitely want to discover or rediscover on the occasion of this anniversary.
